Conditional Questions for One or More Parent Answers
Project designers can configure one related annotation question to appear when a reviewer chooses any of several answers to its parent question. For example, the same follow-up question can appear when the parent answer is either Pharmacological or Genetic, while remaining hidden for Surgical.
Previously, a condition could use only one answer from an options question. Choosing several answers for the same dependent question avoids duplicate follow-up questions and keeps annotation forms focused on relevant information.
To configure this in Project Settings → Question Design:
- Create a parent question with its answer options.
- Select the parent question and select Add Related.
- Select Conditionally display this question based on answer to parent question.
- Choose one or more parent answers that should show the related question, then save it.
- Assign both the parent and related questions to the appropriate annotation stage.
The related question appears when the reviewer chooses any of the selected parent answers. Conditions that use one parent answer continue to work. Yes/No parent questions also remain supported and use a single Yes or No condition.
See Annotation Questions for the full question-design guidance.
